... but its gonna cost you. I have had my share of experience with GPS-Tracking and especially in bad environments (very common in cars) its very hard to filter out unwanted drift/jumps. Speed and Distance might be in total harmony because Speed may be calculated based on Distance by the receiver (have seen jumps of large distances with speeds in exess of 1000kph).
If you filter out to much you end up loosing parts of the track.

In my experience its not usable for a "check once per year" type of thing, it needs constant monitoring to catch those glitches.

All these uncertainties make it unsuitable for measuring something that people have to pay money for ;)
