I agree he's still responsible for his staff, but it's stupid to call *him* ignorant because of a screwup from his clerical staff. And I'm sure whoever did it has already been disciplined.

However, there's just no feasible way for him to actively read *EVERYTHING* that comes across his desk. ESP things that are generally form letters.

He'll have to take responsibility to clean it up and make the necessary apologies, but to blame him for it *happening* is just stupid.

It's probably republican plants trying to make him look bad </conspiracy theory 346!> :P
