But there are some which you have to be very careful to cross in the correct way. They weren't. If it was a Canadian comedy show they may have been able to get away with something similar but even then not that exact style. That it was an American show certainly made it far more insulting because it becomes more believable that they may be saying their true opinions. Standard rules of comedy apply, they further you are from the people you are making fun of the more carefully you have to be when doing so.
