The difference is that South Park is known to be a comedic show, and is only aired on a channel called Comedy Central. The program in question is aired on a channel called Fox News. Quite honestly, until this discussion, I wasn't aware that there were 'comedy' shows on CNN or Fox News. I don't watch either channel, with extremely rare exceptions. I *read* my news.
Still, the comments are uncalled for. Would we consider it any less heinous if Rev. Parsley and crew called themselves a comic act while they protest military funerals? Call it what you will, the comment was absolutely in very poor taste and with poor timing. |
