That's £260 per every man woman and child in the country per year, just for database information. That's about $380. Or, to be more succinct: that's 1% of the GDP JUST GOING INTO MAKING GOVERNMENT DATABASES! Surely there is an error there somewhere. As for privacy concerns: yeah, I wouldn't want to live under that much surveillance. If I lived there I wouldn't protest though; I'd just end up in more databases.
