Doesn't the US already have toll highways? (n/t) by kahuana2009-03-23 09:04:59

The New York State Thruway uses a Ticket system by Woodburn 2009-03-23 10:03:44
where you pay a toll at the exit you take, rather than every so many miles. The result seams to be there is more miles driven per exist compared to normal. It costs money to run those toll booths every exit and if they can get away with having every exit 11-12 miles instead of 5-6, they will.

Plus you tend to get alot of trumpent interchanges instead of clover leaves or diamonds.
