I saw a segment about this on the news this by Peace_man 2009-03-23 09:45:22
morning. CTV news, that is, not Fox. Yeah, I did say 'news', so that leaves Fox out already, sorry about the redundancy.

There were a couple of ignoramuses joking about the Canadian forces and their involvement in Afghanistan. They were laughing and making jokes at the Canadian forces' expense. I had the impression that Fox was into supporting the troops? Apparently that only goes for active troops. As soon as they return home they are no longer worthy of support? Or is it just American troops that are worthy of support? Either way, I had the impression that Fox simply wants more war, more fighting, and anything that might reduce the bloodshed was to be discouraged. Maybe because war and death are certain to be newsworthy, and they don't want to have to think about what to report on in the future?

Good thing I don't take Fox seriously, or I might have been upset at this display of bad taste.
