Mileage tax vs. fuel tax - "Privacy? What's that?" by Twitchh2009-03-23 08:03:34

We already pay a gas tax. This will penalize people who have long commutes but are responsible and drive efficient vehicles. I have to drive ~60 miles a day for work. Why should I be penalized for the mileage when I purchased a Honda Fit to cut back on gas use? Plus, it DOES invade privacy when the government demands the right to see into my car. What's next, using it to issue speeding tickets because someone got from point A to point B too soon?
