Never tell someone that's the reason you're available, unless you are directly asked. Volunteering that information is never a good idea. I would also elaborate about your interview process, when you interviewed with, the position, who interviewed you, and reiterate why you are a good candidate for that company. You are always trying to sell yourself. Never presume that anyone you are talking to doesn't have some say in the matter.
