have put a lot of effort into proving that that is, or isn't, the case. I know some of them. Anyone who proved it either way would be instantly famous and make a s4-load of money. The NSA would probably move heaven and earth to get their hands on you, as would a lot of other government organizations, universities, corporations, and probably a crime syndicate or two (particularly if such an algorithm was found).
