The story says they were Plain Clothes Officers.
It says they were at the wrong address, the wrong BLOCK, and that the little girl didn't even BEGIN to match the description of the person they were looking for.
It also does NOT mention if they announced themselves AS Officers, nor if they said they had a Warrant.
Which leaves three strange men in street clothes on someone's property, beating up a member of the property-owner's family, & calling her a prostitute.
Yeah, as far as the story goes, that's grounds for justifiable homicide in self defence.
No jury would convict him (BECAUSE none of the Officers identified themselves).
Not to mention that a Jury, upon hearing that it took THREE full grown adult males to beat the s4 out of a *TWELVE YEAR OLD GIRL*, would (hopefully) find the three guilty of gross negligence & criminal misconduct.
Assaulting an Officer only holds up if they identified themselves AS Officers, which this story doesn't say they did.
A child "fleeing arrest" doesn't hold water because she ran *into the house*.
"Resisting arrest" MIGHT hold water, but ONLY if they properly identified themselves as Officers, showed their badges, AND the Warrant.
At which point, the Father would point out "YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG ADDRESS, YOU F4ING MORONS!"
Not to mention "Does my twelve year old, 4'6, 87 pound BLACK daughter LOOK like a 5'7, 165 pound CAUCASIAN woman to YOU? WELL, DOES SHE?"
*cough*
*deep breath*
No, if the story is true & presenting the facts as they happened, then the cops have exactly *zilch* to cover their butts.
Three grown men, trespassing on someone's property they had no right to be upon, beating up a 12 year old girl occupant of said property, & then charging the father with "resisting arrest" for defending himself, his family, & his property?
No, the cops need to be behind bars in PMITA Prison for a while.
If they had ID'd themselves & shown the father the warrant FIRST, then NONE of the rest of this would've happened, because the fact that it was the wrong address would have been pointed out.
But nope.
They blew it, BIG TIME, and now they need to face the consequences of their actions.
Which, unfortunately, it looks like that WON'T happen, since the "internal investigation" found "no evidence of wrongdoing".
*spits in disgust*
