but it's not that uncommon, and it's often worthwhile if you're good enough to do it cleanly. The secret is that code is just another kind of data, and the line between "an interpreter" and "a piece of highly data-driven code" is extremely fuzzy. :) Could what you're doing, maybe, be considered "workflow"? Whatever it is, there are probably some good ideas out there already, but I don't know what sort of problem you're attacking.
