now he just needs to carry that over into action and do it no matter what the topic and what the party of that congressperson.

Somethign I find intersting on Congresspeoples viewpoints is this statement By Sen. Charles Schumer, D-New York and illustrates the "them and us" mentality quite well "...We will do our best to bring more Republicans over to our side...."
Why did he not say "we will do our best to meet them in the middle." The attitude of "you must believe like me" is what is causing partisan politics as usual. Why can't they not see there is not a "side" in this other than to do the CORRECT thing and to heck with political party.

I still wish that Obama had told us something in his press conference we did not already know or had given a more structured overall plan....
