easier as 2/3 is what is needed to make sure that you can do basically what that party wants no matter what else happens if people vote party line. Now, that being said, influence is a game all it's own. Politics also figures into that as well. If you tick off your constituents enough, you will not be in office next time around....
I think they all need to stop playing petty politics, strip otu all the CRUFT and pass a streamlined, lean and mean, version of the bill and MOVE ON!! IMO what is holding all of this up is people playing the standard political gamesmanship....and that really irritates me... |
