Made herself relevant to the discussion, she has had a personal experience and it is one of many of how the laws have cost lives. However to her credit she worked tirelessly to gather the facts, present them in testimony, run for office and get laws enacted to reduce the likely-hood that people do not have to go through what she did.

Those laws have saved lives.

One thing to keep in mind, you cannot apply what works in .dk to the United States any more than I can apply what works here to .dk. There is a major sociological factor that precludes such a notion.
