should be fine with what you have in mind as a replacement. Capacitors are one of the easier components to replace. As long as the voltage rating is not lower than the peak it will be fed and then capacitance is pretty close, you should be good to go. If the capacitor is in the power supply, you can almost put anything there. The cap would be acting as a filter of sorts then. The higher the rating, the cleaner the output would be. Too high would be overkill.
