About the only thing in those definitions I could agree with *at first glance* is the We are overwhelmingly "other" than he. And on second reading not even that, at least I would hope so. It would be very sad indeed if the difference over firearms alone would so fully divide people as that sentence suggests, when there are so many more things that can bind (or separate, granted) us.
Personally, I'm always amazed at how in (especially) US politics a single issue like abortion can dominate agendas so much, and let people set aside many other issues of equally grave importance and relevance.
Also, like others said, I doubt you were using it in the medical sense. Especially since I'm quite sure you're not a qualified psychiatrist. (Apart from the fact I've more than once seen those claim that they should never base a diagnosis on a short, indirect observation.)
Finally, a thank you to the people who jumped in to acknowledge that I'm not the only one disagreeing with this word.
