If you're not getting any responses then it's not pushing the right buttons. You might want to look into what government funded job search options there are for you, most of those will help you generate a good CV. Also, remember, when applying for a job make the CV relevant. If you're applying for a tech support job, they could care less about your programming experience. One of the tools I use is to have a "Skills" section up at the top of the resume, this is where I put what I think are relevant skills.
