It merely pretends to be. It is actually an ad hom. of the worst kind; one that adds appeal to authority to its fallacy.

Just look at the description of what it was coined to mean. Its usage actually stops any intelligent discourse by painting opponents of gun rights as incapable of it. So in the words of Cooper, who originated it and should know what he meant by it, it is a deliberate and measured serious insult.

I have gotten tired of calling BS every time I see this 'word' here. But since we are now discussing it I thought it important to get the truth, and not your pseudo scientific justification for it.
