ggggrraaaaaaaaghhhhh im never gonna get a job!! by Pandilex 2009-02-10 10:47:29
Anyone want to hire me? I've been looking for IT jobs for over a month now with zero success. I haven't heard a single thing back from the 15 or so jobs I've applied for, and IT recruiters call me up to clarify my CV and I hear their resignation in their voices when I say I haven't got any commercial experience.
I have a degree in software engineering, I was a UK finalist in Microsoft's imaginecup competition, in my spare time I have done hundreds of thousands of lines of programming, I am competent in .NET languages, I can fix your mum's computer and take it apart and put it back together again, but I can't even get an interview for a job.
Anyone want to hire me? I am at my wits end. I see jobs that pay barely above jobseekers allowance that I might be able to get, barely above data entry, despite the fact I could probably rewrite their entire software suite.

Anyone have any advice before I turn Dr. Evil and show them what it means to mess with a computer scientist? Muahahaha....
