WinXP swap file question / problem. by AndyA2009-02-10 09:43:50
With that much memory, I see no reason why you can by mpicklesimer1 2009-02-10 10:24:07
't turn off the swap file altogether, depending on what you're doing. I've had much better performance from WinXP with 2GB of RAM and no swap file than any other configuration I've used, and don't usually use the whole 2GB. Though, with Vista, it seems I need the swap file even with 4GB of RAM. And if I'm running a VM inside of that? Forget it! :)
