To the circular file with them! I've seen too many jobs get watered down by waste who don't really want to be there, and it's obvious by the amount of effort they put into the application process.

I too had several rounds of adjustments/proofreading sessions with various friends and family members. All tolled, I think it took a little over a month to get my resume to where I was totally happy with it and felt confident sending it out to potential employers. I believe it made the difference in my getting the job I have now.
