was about the economy and about how all of this affects and Effects it right? He even started off the press conference about the economy... Seems to me that he purposefully steered the conversation that direction...and then said he was not going into details on it in several situations. "I don't want to pre-empt my secretary of the treasury. He's going to be laying out these principles in great detail tomorrow." and "And so tomorrow my treasury secretary, Tim Geithner, will be announcing some very clear and specific plans for how we are going to start loosening up credit once again." and "Again, Helene -- and I'm trying to avoid pre-empting my secretary of the treasury." I think you get the idea... I want to know what did he really say he was going to do? I heard him say a lot about that he thought we needed to do "something" but I did not hear any details or specifics at all. Why have the press conference if you are not going to go into detail and be the decicive person...what was the purpose of the press conference? What did it actually accomplish? Personally, after watching it and reading it...I know the exact same thing I knew before the press conference...which is "we need to do something...no details...but we need to do something."
