I also don't understand why Obama had a press conference aobut the Economy when he kept saying he was not going to go into specifics on it and let his people who were going to have a press conference later on it talk about the details.
I thought the initial remarks were about the stimulus package, but the press conference was about anything - Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, the economy. In particular he was referring to two very specific things, when talking about the press-conferences today - how the rest of the TARP money will be used, and what foreclosure relief measures will be taken. Both of which are not part of the stimulus package.
