repairs can not wait We went through Christmas and three blizzards waiting as is. Freight delays mean that we could not start earlier. It is now the coldest part of the year. We have no option but to do the repairs. We could get a loan to do it, but the costs are huge. Decidedly not in any budget. Since the government knows how much it costs to get major emergency repairs done, and since we are taxpayers who are not in social housing, they do have this program for lower income home-owners that is really a blessing. Especially since they had not spent their budget last year and had money waiting... Government guy was really very helpful in getting us into the program. I know that this destroys the right-wing narrative but, sometimes government is good.
