We wouldn't carry a note for something like that. We had talked about keeping the house (it's been fully paid for 15 years) and it is the house my wife grew up in. But in talking about being a cross-country land-lord, we agreed that it's more head-ache than it's worth, especially now with the new insurance wrinkle! Realistically, we should be able to put it on the market by summer, if not sooner. If you have 'gotcha' moments we should be on the look out for, please email me. Obfuscated email is in my diary.
