But be prepared for the possibility of more surprises of the unwanted kind. I speak from too much experience with houses in Florida. When you get the thing to the point where you can sell it, and I hope that you do soon, I recommend not being excessively picky about the value...but DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, contemplate carrying the note yourself. (It sounded like you already understood this, but I just wanted to reinforce the idea that you are DEAD RIGHT to want to avoid this mistake.)
