Due to [long story abbreviated here], I have only just resurrected my home desktop box from ugly hard drive crashage.
I've been running off my laptop for a few months in the meantime.
I now want to merge the newer differences from the laptop back to the desktop, where the One True Copy (albeit months out of date) copy of everything resides. Thunderbird email, Firefox bookmarks, mp3s, jpgs, etc., etc., etc...
Is there a fairly automated, painless way to do this? I have similar directory structures in both places -- I want to do copies that just copy the newer diffs to directories with the same name, not overwrite the older, more complete (but stale) directory with the newer (yet far less complete)) directory.
Any help?
