You can watch it in a window and (perhaps) get other stuff done at the same time. Depends on how much of your attention it needs to be given. Plus, in a window you don't have to bother with aspect ratio stupidity -- my 1280x1024 resolution (5:4) will work just as well as any 16:9 or 4:3 will (as long as they're large enough). The window can change its size, so the monitor doesn't have to. ;-)
