Just bought myself a new UPS, 6000VA (No, that's not a typo, the unit weighs 113kg) SOLA 610 dual-conversion UPS ;oD

For $AU125 + 112 Shipping pretty decent methinks, the batteries are in an unknown state but even considering that it's still b6 cheap.

It's designed to be hardwired but initially I'll probably just wire it to a 10A lead (not planning on sucking mega power out of it until it's properly wired, that'll let me use ~1/3 capacity, which is still enough for my firewall, modem, core switch and my AC) at the same time I spent $16 on the 32A MCB and a new 100A isolator switch I'm going to need, just need to track down a single-phase 32A socket and plug now...

This post bought to you by me getting f4ing sick of brownouts causing the safety on my air conditioner's compressor to trip subjecting me to 10 minutes of hot air being pushed around.
