He seems to understand the problems well: calories out of control, second-hand smoke, too much salt in things...but his solution to the problem always seems to be: LEGISLATE!!!1!!1one
I could see requiring labeling of salt/sodium content. Frankly, I wish that was more common everywhere. It's more information I can use to make up my mind that yes, indeed, I've eaten healthy food for a whole week, I can afford to have this goody, right here.
It would also be a good way to handle food manufacturers nationally: require more prominent labeling of more things, but in a simpler manner. You can run your business however you want, but you WILL clearly tell people what you're selling them. Then they can make up their own minds. |
