Question for those of you with kids by Sonri2009-01-29 07:21:48
Are you required to wear a gi at the dojo? by voxwoman 2009-01-29 07:30:19
I would simply look for the XXXL sizes in canvas.

You should be able to do tai chi in what I refer to as "yoga pants" which aren't canvas, but stretchy stuff - and your local maternity store should have something.

For jeans, I got something with elastic waist. If money is a concern, check out your local thrift/consignment stores - maternity stuff isn't kept for too long after the baby comes, so it's usually gently used.

I was most comfortable in maternity overalls, because there was nothing pressing on my belly at all. I did have a pair of "maternity jeans" with a series of snaps on the sides.

Try stuff on, and the other thing to look for is how expandable the waistline is. Don't worry if they seem too big right now. At the end of term, you will not believe how huge your belly may get.
