I've been reading UserFriendly religiously every day for many years, but the current events are beginning to irritate me.
Let's not do ridiculous politics here. Please. While a large part of the US (nearly allpoliticians, many citizens) praise the US war effort, most of the rest of the world sees a simple profit-making scheme.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with "Freedom, Freedom Of Choice" or anything like it. Yes, a lot of soldiers died. Yes, many of them actually believed in Freedom For The World. Your leaders don't.
A lot (a *lot*) of countries were attacked by the US since WW2. A lot more had their attacks directly funded by the US. How many of them had freedom and democracy afterwards? Zero. Yes, Zero.
*sigh*
Okay, let's not go into this direction. It'll trigger a huge amount of hatred, garbage, WereAllPatriots, etc etc etc.
Let's just enjoy UserFriendly again. Without any serious stuff in it. Please. |
