My ex-roommate, who has tried to make a living at eBaying things, ran into such problems, and such believeable stories that I'd have to give the following advice: If it involves anything other than nice, safe eBay-integrated payment options and "you pay me, I send to you, and we're done" shipping, forget it. Unfortunately, eBay got rid of rating buyers, which created this problem. Sellers now have no way to figure out whether a seller has a long, honest history of dealings or is merely a Nigeria-bot.
