*Because* it draws spiders (which eat bandwidth, so they're very unwelcome)... posts with email addresses get moderated.

Address-harvesting worm on some unsuspecting UFie's computer, perhaps? That's how my carefully guarded "spam-free" account finally got its first spam... my old orchestra conductor got hit with a worm that harvested addresses, and suddenly everybody in the orchestra was getting the same spams...
