The whole point of SS is to make sure that seniors aren't begging in the streets, as Peace Man pointed out. By the fact that they're working at all, and earning SS credits means that they're earning future benefits at the rate higher than they contribute. This has already been established as "the way things work". I don't think it's valid to bring that into the current debate.

If you're questioning or complaining about that, then your issue is with SS overall, separate from the current election.
