so slowly that nobody will care. Every step along the way, some will cry, "That's socialism." Most will ignore them because it's such a small piece of their liberty that it can't be that big a deal.

And contrary to what Peace_man said, it really doesn't matter who wins in this election. Both of the major parties are willing to sacrifice our freedoms for political expediency.

Yes, it's a slippery slope argument. But from where I sit, we are already halfway down the gully.
