As it is right now, the universe does not look like it has any guidance or purpose. It just is, and since we're here, why not make the most of it? Step 1: Create a galactic civilization (with a step 1 like that, you know I'm aiming high!). Step 2: Use the resources of the galactic civilization to develop a way of becoming "that entity". Step 3: Start spawning new universes to study and/or eventually colonize. Heh, can't blame me for dreaming! :-)
