If I disagree, then I should have a more persuasive argument, if I believe it applies to everyone. Otherwise, i'd be an idiot to cling to a less persuasive argument, in light of better evidence (scientific, or otherwise).
That said, I do believe there *must* be evidence other than "I believe" for it to be valid for anyone other than the individual who believes. |
