When you distinguished between "right" and "morally right," did you intend the first use ("right") to be the noun we were discussing, or the adjective? For some reason I took it as the adjective - but it sounds now as if you meant the noun, which actually makes more sense here.

I would, however, hold that it is morally wrong to abrogate a right of another (or even of oneself) - that is, that it is not right to abrogate a right. That, however, gets into Aristotelian ethics.
