"Which candidate will do the whole of the tasks of the presidents job generally better for the US (and the world) during the years of his presidency?" Neither? This past Sunday the local newpaper ran a reasonably good "score the candidates" article. As far as I could tell, the descriptions of both candidates' positions seemed accurate (and I usually disagree with this paper's political editorials). For me, McCain scores higher -- but not enough higher to make me want to vote for him. It really hurts him that he supports actions taken by the Bush administration that I oppose. I voted for Bush and now wish I hadn't. Obama seems like a nice enough guy (and I think I'd rather have him living next door than McCain), but his positions on economics issues alone would prevent me from voting for him. Add in the gun issues and he's toast.
