I mean, the article says he's a Democrat and perhaps he really *is* registered as such. But it seems either disingenious, a mistake, or an outright misreprensentation to depict Card as a Democrat when his flame-o-rant is clearly targeted at Democrats and those in the media that he sees as supporting them.
I suppose (stretching the limits of credulity) it's possible that he could be a Democrat and still hold the beliefs he spouted, but if that's the case, he ought to just change parties and get over it.
I personally tend to agree with the general notion of what he's saying...that big media has a big love affair with Obama...but that's only my opinion. Card makes a lot of claims that he portrays as out-and-out factual (not qualified as opinion, but saying definitively "they did this", over and over). He would be much more credible in his claims if he followed his piece with footnote, links, or other backing. I know that the original piece was written as an op-ed in a newspaper (thus, no linkies), and I know that much of the info is out there to be found by the truly diligent. But if he could support his position, it would add much more weight to the claims he's making. |
