Reliable laptop by oot2008-10-21 07:31:21
Difficult to say... by Khaar 2008-10-21 08:13:30
I don't consider reliability something that comes with a brand, but with a model. Which are often out of production by the time their reliability is properly and fully tested.

But if it's reliability you want, I'd advise you look for business-class devices. These usually come with fewer features, but hardware and software that's better tested, both for reliability and compatibility.

As others have noted, laptops don't come with exchangable (certainly not interchangable) parts, and I not yet seen a laptop that has everything working great. This one's monitor is bad, that one has horrible keyboard, the third lousy battery that after a year stops working altogether, connectivity issues, drivers, this, that, etc.
