IBM thinkpads and the only thing that has gone wrong with them is the battery on one died (it was almost 8 years old) and the power brick on the other died (It was about 6 years old) Both Laptops were off lease and had been used by "Road warriors" for about 2 years. My mom is ROUGH on electronics and has dropped hers at least 20 times. to give you an Idea, in the last 8 years my mom has BROKEN 4 cell phones...she is still using her 800mhz T series IBM thinkpad and takes it with her to work on things when she can. It lives in her trunk most of the time...
