Intel GMA 4500 MHD videocard by Michiel2008-10-21 05:55:24

:-p

The GMA 4500HD (What Intel calls the video chip part of their G45 chipset,) including the mobile variant, supports multiple monitors, no problem. The question is if the laptop manufacturer chose to implement it. Almost guaranteed they did. I haven't seen a laptop that *DIDN'T* support 'extended desktop' mode in a very long time.

In fact, my three year old laptop with the much older Intel "GMA 900" graphics supports both its internal 1280x768, plus 1600x1200 on an external display simultaneously, and it's also a Compaq. It's even an ultra-low-end Compaq.
