Why is it that Chinese is considered a cultured, by hadji 2008-10-01 14:12:05
intricate, complex language, partially due to the fact that a complete word can be represented by a single character. Yet, in this modern age, when people text back and forth with phrases like, "i luv u 4ever" or "u r gr8", it's not perceived as such a great thing?

I sense a double standard here, and I am extremely disappointed.
