When I did the training for the Breast Cancer Walk, and then the Walk itself, I found that the best cure for aching sore muscles was some good stretching. It gave both immediate relief and long-term lessening of the pain from future sessions, and if I skimped on stretching I'd regret it short-term and long-term.

Oh, and Ibuprofen or your preferred NSAID can help a lot, too. A gym that has a hottub is nice, too. ;-)
