on the situation that comes to light...the more and more I am against the bailout...(I was pretty much against it in the first place but realised that they would have to do "something" or get politically crucified...)

The realist in me knows that they will pass *something* to aleviate the problems caused by the situation for 2 reasons. They have the New deal legislation and other financial laws and regs that are built on it saying they have to, and ....it is politics as usual in backing people that in some way back your election/re-election.
