My keyboard and mouse have been acting funky. I realized that I haven't replaced the batteries in my keyboard since I bought it on January 23, 2007 (my mouse batteries have been replaced many times). Anyway I replaced the batteries on both and was still having problems. I was afraid I was going to need a new set but then I unplugged the receiver and plugged it back in and everything is fine now.
