predecessor to The Pink Floyd Sound. The article (linked in my TLP) indicated that Waters, Mason and Wright formed Sigma 6, which became the Pink Floyd Sound. It also mentions the addition of Syd Barrett, but is not clear on the timeline relating to Syd's addition to the group.
In all honesty, while I am a huge fan of Pink Floyd's music, I am not all that up on the history of the band. As with most artists I like - including my favorites - I know the music, but not necessarily the artists themselves. |
